The Art Crowd is an Afton Press project, the primary purpose of which is to support the publication of five books about Minnesota art and architecture, one annually beginning in 2010.

Charter Membership
Charter Members of The Art Crowd will meet bi-monthly for good fellowship and conversation as well as to discuss and plan book projects and related activities (including but not limited to exhibitions and speaker events). Charter members will elect officers and also appoint committees as desired.

Charter Members will pledge $5,000 annually for five years to support the publication by Afton Press of five exceptional books (in terms of scholarship, design, and production) concerning Minnesota art and architecture, one each year beginning in 2010. Charter membership dues will be payable during the first quarter of each year, except in 2008, when dues may be paid before year-end.

Regular meetings will take place in a variety of venues, including members’ homes, where host member(s) can share and speak about his/her collection (much to the delight of visiting members!).

Ambassador Membership
Associate members of The Art Crowd will pledge $1,000 annually for five years.

Associate members will be invited to participate in our annual meeting and holiday party as well as Art Crowd-sponsored exhibition openings, lectures, and other events.
